English translation

The family invited neighbours for a meal to share traditions. They asked beforehand about foods guests could not or did not want to eat. A neighbour brought a family dish. Over dinner guests discussed celebrations, habits and memories from different places. Some discovered unexpected similarities; others became curious about differences. The family explained traditions without claiming everyone from the same country did things alike. The conversation showed habits could also differ between generations and families. After the meal the neighbours decided to meet again. What began as a food invitation became an opportunity to understand the people around them.
