Amal volunteered at a local festival. Before the event she received task information and met the other volunteers. She would show visitors where to find stages and toilets. On festival day there were more questions than expected. When she did not know an answer, she asked an experienced worker. She learned to cooperate and practised Norwegian in many short conversations. After her shift she had time to listen to music. Amal found the day busy but enjoyable. She would like to participate again next year, especially because she had met people living nearby.
