At the library Hassan found a group for people wanting to practise Norwegian. There he met Kari, who also wanted to learn some Arabic expressions. They agreed to meet weekly. Before each meeting they chose a topic such as food, work or holidays. Hassan spoke Norwegian in the first part, and Kari asked questions. Afterwards Kari tried short sentences in Arabic. They corrected only errors that made understanding difficult. Hassan became more confident because he could use the language without thinking about a test. Both also learned more about each other's daily lives.
